The Dueling Pigs BBQ Challenge, a fundraising event for SAWs® Virginia, is destined to become an annual, regional, family-friendly event with something for everyone. The Revolutionary War theme is a play on when dueling sometimes settled differences of opinion.

But the difference of opinion of who has the best pulled pork will be settled by a panel of Honorary Judges and People’s Choice of up to 12 local contestants from across Virginia. Hosted by Highmark Brewery, judging will occur from Noon to 3:00 PM.

There will be live music, vendors and activities for the kids. Also, Highmark Brewery will be giving 20% off ticket holders’ beer tab.

The competition is open to any business or individual team located solely in Virginia. No franchises will be allowed. But if you're a "backyarder" this is your event! Contestants will compete on pulled pork only but you can sell whatever else comes off your grill. Whether you win or not, you will introduce folks to just how good you are and maybe win some new customers instead!
